Count me in, but drop me if you are over-subscribed: I'll happily stand aside to let others compete, but I'll line my city up for destruction if you're short on players ;-)

Did I miss any note on what dates this would run?

Thank goodness you didnt call it the 2012 Summer Illyriad Hunger Games.

Battle Royale was way better.  Although not the kinda movie you would bring children to.

I see a fly in the ointment, so to speak, as regards caravans. If you disqualify anyone who has a caravan come in, what's to stop any random player intentionally (or even accidentally) sending one of the participants a caravan and disqualifying them?

My guess would be some sort of list of participants but that's doesn't guarantee your neutrality.  I would suggest they pick an area of desert where no one has settled but is there such a location?

And what about those of us who have cities in the desert? If people attack me just because I have a city placed in the desert I'm not going to be impressed. Mind you, I'm in an area that's not actually classified as desert but I am completely surrounded in it.
