Ah, well if you were one of the "early" engagers in combat for quite a while commanders were getting XP but no defensive score was being granted. I can't remember when that got fixed but I think it's a Patch note somewhere...

Hmm, well I've only ever had 1 commander present at a time in an engagement :P so its not even that

Ah, I see what you're asking - apologies. Um, well. What I think you'll find is that the available XP from your defensive actions is not being shared amongst the commanders, it's instead being given in full to each commander present at the engagement. Unlike the score, which is only given once. This is a known buglet on the private "to fix" list, but we didn't think people would complain too much about putting up for a while with extra XP for their commanders

But that just shows a lil to how the ranking are calculated all together, not how the score is actually created. The total XP from all the commanders should be the gold upkeep for the units killed, but its a lot higher than my defense score(all my xp is from defense so far)
