So, are banned words still necessary now the min age is 16? Is there an age where swearing is no longer an issue or is it just a matter of decorum?

I too think we need the filter in place. It's already been altered a bit I think after the age limit was raised. Can you picture it if it was removed? I can.

I'm with Tens. Maybe Durc Tools could add a list of additional words that the user could self identify and those would appear in GC (or AC) with *'s?

the main reason for the filter at least in my opinion is to help make sure the chat isnt toxic to newcomers. (IE just look at what happen to some of the MMO that died because of it)
