If a PvE zone army can attack a PvP zone encampment, but not a city, why would it be able to reinforce a friendly city? Although I guess you could argue that the latter is 'defensive' or something.

I see some interesting "blending" here too. Player uses all units from PvE town X to reinforce PvP town Y. All units from town Y are available for any type of action with out having to trouble with the defense of a town.

I believe this was answered either in the FAQ or in a follow up Q&A.
My understanding of their answer is that the only limit on military/diplomats sent from the PVE zone will be the inability to specifically "attack/feint/raid/siege" other player cities. All other scenarios are available so - yes you can attack an encamped army outside a city, yes you can send your army to reinforce a siege or reinforce a besieged player. ...Makes for a perfect Troll account scenario...

I don't see any barrier or rule mentioned for military units crossing over to PvE land from PvP land and vice versa except for the actions against towns. Is this correct?
I looks like it is wide open for military incursions within and without. If that's the case, there would be no bar in either direction for resources harvested or "taking" those resources. |

No the summer break has not started where I am (Nepal) although it should be starting soon. Summer vacation will have started in UK about 1 or 2 weeks past now (I think), which is what I would have thought they would have tied it into (given that the origins of this game are from the UK). But where do you live? summer started for you 2 months ago and you still have more time, that's a damned long summer break, do people get any studying done where ever you are from?

It doesn't work like that with Illyriad. They (the developers) will tell you something is coming and then at some later time (designated as "soon" here) it will come. There are some things they have told us are coming (or may be coming, or might be coming) for several years now. With TBL, they did say "sometime in 2013" which I would take as a promise and it probably means before Dec 31, 2013 and you'll get nothing more specific than that. Actually, for Illyriad, that is pretty specific. |
