   Good day all,
I have a question about alliance names..maybe you smart people here will know the answer.

Can an alliance name (and alliance tag) ever be reused?

For instance.. if there was an alliance name called "Caravan Killers" with the tag of "KILL"
and they changed their name to "Critter Killers" with the tag of "CRIT"

can anyone else come along and use "Caravan Killers" as their alliance name OR "KILL" as their tag?

	If the alliance is in use, no Take mine for example, Alliance name :Black Skull Horde, Tag:BSH. No one else can use that name or that tag, if in the future there are zero people in the alliance and you would liek to make an alliance with that name, I'm sure a petition would handle it.

	I believe the question was whether past names are ever freed up for re-use. I can only guess that they can, since the devs would have to go out of their way to maintain a record of previously used ones if they wanted to keep them reserved for the first alliance record that uses them.

	HonoredMule.. yes. Thanks. But I still will see past, dead alliances show up in stats (like my diplomacy list and such)... not to mention I think they still show up in your alliance history. So the name has to be recorded and kept somewhere.

	Yes, with the actual alliance itself. Actual alliances never disappear unless disbanded by the founder. I believe that if an alliance renames itself, then its original name is once again available for use. To retain it otherwise would require keeping a list of past names for each alliance, and I doubt that has been done.
