Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)?
We prefer people who are ready to settle their second city but haven't used their tenaril spell yet. Consideration will be given to smaller new players who have been recommended by an existing member or a training alliance, if unsure just talk to us, we're happy to discuss it Smile. We accept any race. We are geographically concentrated in the South East of Elgea with a second area in Azura/Lan Larosh and will help prospective members relocate to our core areas. 

What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)?
We'll help with finding settlement spots or by sieging innactives for newer players with no siege themselves. Although not a training alliance we will give assistance with resources, help and advice. One of the reasons we are geographically located is to enable us to protect our members in the event of war. We don't make military actions (in war or tournaments) compulsory but as they are a major part of the game we will train newer players in these aspects and ask them if they wish to be involved (at such time that they could do so without setting their growth back). We have an active skype room (written only - no special equipment required) and although joining it is not essential we do recommend it as it's a good way to get to know your teammates (even though the conversation rarely stays on Illy matters for long - it can get quite surreal in there sometimes!LOL).  Our players come from various countries and have varied backgrounds, political persuasions and ages.

What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles?  
To have fun, grow and prosper. We are keen on all aspects of the game including trade and mysteries. Military actions in war or in tournament are team based involving everyone who wishes to take part.    

What type of player are you looking for as members?
We prefer mature players, preferably ones who don't over react to the game's little tribulations! Previous gaming experience is helpful (we have a few refugees from other games) but not essential. We do expect a certain level of activity, i.e. logging on sometimes would be nice - the occasional wave to let us know you're alive - that sort of thing LOL.  Hmm let me see...knowledge of wine would be nice (currently we have a lot of people who drink it but no connoisseurs), thai recipes, animal husbandry, pet keeping, someone who knows how to set up a wifi hub, anyone who has an opinion on the relative merits of virginia versus turkish tobacco, tea versus coffee? Someone happy to come into the skype room and have a discussion on just about anything really Wink..............

Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance?  
Of course they can leave!Shocked    We hope they don't but there would be no consequences if they did so peacefully (we'd take a dim view of anyone leaving and sending an attack on a former teammate, or immediately joining an alliance we are at war with - but then which alliance wouldn't???). Massive amounts of trouble making, flame wars, trolling, gratuitous playground insults etc etc on either Forums or in Global Chat would be frowned upon. Breaking any of our posted rules would be a cause for us to look at a player's membership, we have a short list but expect our players to follow them.

What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPC's or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc.)?
Our rules on diplo's and troops are posted on our public forum, they are basically much the same as those of any other alliance.

If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for?
Currently no tax is required, historically we have never used one. If we ever do in the future it would probably be for purchases and military.

We are currently recruiting as we see there are lot of new players coming into the game and we would like to share some load of training new players. But due to limitation of space, we will only recruit 5 players In this round of recruiting. Ideally, we would like to train 1 player from each of the races and the best application out of the remaining ones.

What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)?
It's Invictus.....we provide everything. Right from resources to tips about all aspects of the game. We will also help you in exo-tenaril (if you want to do it, it is recommended by us). We will also provide you with inactive cities that you can capture and accelerate your growth.

What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? 
We believe that the welfare of the people is the  highest law and our governing principles are guided by it.
Invictus is one of the oldest alliances in Illyriad. The alliance has always been characterised by teamwork and standing up for the little guy. Cooperation and good relations with many of the alliances in Illyriad have allowed the alliance to prosper and grow. The alliance follows a Roman Senatorial style system of government allowing all players to have a say and the administration to carry out that which feels to be most popular and good sense at the same time

No permanent confeds currently. Neither we are involved in any wars.


What makes your  alliance different from the other? 
The friendliest people in the friendliest community. Do we need to say moreWink

We accept everyone, as long as you abide by our rules (we don't have too many) and the rules of Illyriad. We don't ask anybody to move but we are mainly located in the Western area of Illyriad.
If you are under 1000 population, you may be asked to join our training alliance: Heroes of the Horn (HOTH), however, we do accept players who don't wish to join HOTH but want to join WoT directly.

What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)?
We protect our own. We provide resources and information to all our members. We strive to be a neutral alliance in general, staying away from the great wars. However, if we do get involved in a war because of our allies, our members will be given an option and the decision of joining a war is democratically decided by the whole alliance. We have many older members of Illy who would be glad to share information with others. We train our members to be whatever they want to be, without forcing them to do anything they don't want to.
Most of all, we try to keep our Alliance Chat active as much as possible, after all, chatting is one of the best things in Illy!

What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles?
WoT is basically about having fun. We believe that Illy is essentially a game and therefore should be enjoyable. We train for tournaments, but we seldom initiate violence. We protect our own when required but we always utilize diplomacy first.
WoT is like a family. We take care of our own and are supportive. Our main aim is to have fun, do well in tournaments and enjoy the game!

What type of player are you looking for as members?
An active player. The player does not have to speak in Global Chat but he or she is expected to speak in our Alliance Chat. Someone who does not mind sharing, and is (preferably) not a troll on GC or in general. Someone who wants to have fun, and play the game as a game.

Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance?
Yes, a player is free to leave whenever he or she wishes to. however, a simple message stating that they're leaving is considered polite but there are no consequences. Should the player ever wish to rejoin, they will be welcomed back with open arms (:
A player is only removed if he or she has been inactive for a very long time without informing the alliance first. Other instances include cases where the player has violated any of the rules of Illyriad or WoT's Charter. Such occurrences are rare, and do not happen often. WoT is an alliance with very few rules.

We sometimes have mini tournaments where targets will be specified to our members. They are allowed in attack in-actives through diplomacy or military, whichever. 
Unprovoked hostilities are not encouraged (unless on NPCs, of course, they're fair game), a member should trust that the leadership will take right steps in instances when required.

If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for?
We do not impose a tax upon our members. Illy is a game, there is no reason to tax our members. If money is required for any purposes then the whole alliance is asked for donations: it is completely upto each individual. Resources (whether basic or advanced) are shared with each other, especially in times of tournaments.

Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? Any race can join. It doesn't matter where your towns are. Size does not make the player.

What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? Any player who joins will be protected from any unwanted harm.
We are not a training alliance but we do train our players ourselves. When they graduate they do not have to stay but it's preferred if they do.

What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? We want to help every player reach their goal in Illyriad. We do not focus on only one topic. We try to teach all topics, military, diplomancy, magic, trade and crafting (some may say that trade and crafting are the same thing but we assure you it's not)

What type of player are you looking for as members? Any player who tries to ruin Global Chat (or Alliance Chat) by trolling, spamming and/or making fun of new players is not welcome without apologizing first, if they continue to do so then they will be kicked. Any player that wants to grow and learn is welcome.

Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? They can leave but we would ask why. If they leave then we will still treat them like one of us. If we kicked someone out then they would have already been warned three times for whatever they did. We do not believe in this "Retreat to AC to say whatever you like" rule.

For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? If someone wants to use anything in a hostle manner then they should get permission first. Anything can be attacked, NPCs, other players/alliances, that sort of thing. THEY MUST HAVE PERMISSION FIRST!!! If someone did not have permission, then they will have to explain themselves then we will decide what to do about it.

If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for?
This gold is saved for the future. New players who need gold or to help alliances make peace with us. The alliance leaders will happily replace any gold and more.

What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? The alliance stands for the players in the Pirate Isles; the alliances goal is to strengthen players and their sovereignty and bring as much people over to the Pirate Isles.   

What type of player are you looking for as members? Anyone

Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? Players are allowed to leave if they wish to leave the Pirate Isles. If they wish to return, they must say why they left in the first place. If players become inactive and have no cities in the Pirate Isles, we may kick you out determining on how strong you are. 

What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? We are not allowed to attack or steal from anyone that's in another alliance. If you are attacked, however, please forward it to the alliance in the mail and we will find a way to approach the problem. 

If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? In given time the alliance may be taxed. The taxes would be used to support players that have large armies in order to protect us from any hostilities that may come about. If we do tax players, the most we would tax is 1%. However, that may not happen determining on the players that join the alliance.
