Alliance Land Claims

Under the sovereign authority of King Sigurd Deyrik-Groensen, Protector of Illyria, Keeper of the Grand Charter, Warden of the Realm, the Council of Illyria proclaims:

To all noble lords, esteemed legates, honored envoys, and the citizens of the realm:

Be it known that the alliance identified as The Grand Fleet, formerly sailing under the banner of Yarr, has forsaken the honorable path upon which Illyrian unity stands. The Council, in measured deliberation, has uncovered unequivocal proof of repeated and egregious aggression, wherein new-founded settlements and emergent kingdoms have been subjected to wanton assault and devastation. Such conduct not only contravenes the foundational principles of our dominion but imperils the delicate fabric of order our ancestors sacrificed dearly to establish.

With solemn resolve, in defense of Illyria’s sovereignty and the ethical sanctity guiding our governance, the Council hereby decrees:

First, that all lands hitherto claimed by The Grand Fleet—including but not limited to the Pirate Isles, the Orken Coast, the Shardlands, the eastern bounds of the Long White, and the western frontier of Jurgor—are forthwith and irrevocably stripped of recognition. Let these territories be restored to common stewardship, subject solely to the law and protective custody of this Council.

Second, prior accords and diplomatic charters endorsing The Grand Fleet’s territorial assertions are, by the authority vested in this proclamation, declared wholly nullified, bearing no further weight or legitimacy. Their assertions upon these lands are henceforth to be regarded as having never existed in the eyes of Illyrian law.

Third, we exhort the leadership and captains of The Grand Fleet to immediately abandon their violent campaigns. Should they seek redemption, a narrow pathway remains open—through the honorable cessation of hostilities and sincere reparations to those wronged. Ignoring this decree shall summon forth consequences both swift and severe, in faithful accordance with our historic precedents.

Let it be clearly understood: the strength of Illyria lies not solely within the steel of our blades nor the steadfast walls of our fortresses, but within the judicious exercise of authority and the unwavering fidelity to principles that sustain our enduring peace.

Thus, it is recorded and thus it shall stand.
