One of the things I would really like to see implemented is an Alliance bank which could be accessed at a trade hub where alliance members could pool their resources, rare herbs/minerals and based on leadership permissions all alliance members could access all or part of the account in a similar style to the WoW guild banks but obviously adapted for the Illy world.
I would see this as a great boon for overall alliance inventory management and targeted resources gathering as a collective unit. I suppose an alliance could set up an account and a city for this purpose and give everybody the password, but I have no knowledge of anybody doing this and would seem a difficult solution. I would envisage that an alliance would have to pay some sort of fee to open an account, I would think a monthly or weekly fee would be appropriate but will leave the amount to others with more knowledge in the Illy economy to debate as to what is fair. The obvious danger in such a scheme is people joining alliances to gain access and empty the alliances coffers. I would think a fairly simple permissions scale to be administered the alliance leadership would be simple enough to implement though as security measure. Hope this idea finds support and could be quickly implemented

This has been proposed in many forms. It's a good idea. I liked the one where we could set alliance-only pricing at hubs, so that people could acquire free building materials whenever they wished.

I like it too. Another thing it will help with is getting res to newer alliance members (since I always have res, but don't always have vans).

I agree completely. Never, ever share your passwords or all accounts can be booted from the game. GM Rikoo

If I play from different IP adresess? Sometime i am traveling, and I playing from other cities, even countries. With very great certainty I can say this: Those who play with other people's accounts is now more than 10 percent. (only need to look at and study well the ranking list, and in particular the section Player History, For smart man enough. Sapienti sat.) When, therefore, starts cleaning action of these players and / or account ?. The answer can also be sent via IGM Thanks in advance! Edited by Ficho - 11 Aug 2014 at 17:23 |

An IP address will not identify a person. The same person can use many IP addresses, even without moving. Some ISPs have TTL down to an hour. An IP address can be used by many different people, especially in rural areas where you have community ISPs or somebody opens their connection to the neighbourhood. Some ISPs have a central NAT and connect their customers on a private sub-network. Some people do not even have their own PC, and have to share with their family, a community center or a library. Maybe even an OLPC grid network. Illy is not restricted to the affluent parts of the world. It is, after all, free to play.

An alliance setting up an account and city for this purpose is certainly not something I would recommend as to me it would at best seem a clumsy soloution, merely as a newish player something that I was wondering if anybody had done.
I do think an alliance bank would be great way to help with many distribution problems though.

T&C are quite clear: only one person holds the login for each account.
Any mechanism that relies on one player is flawed, e.g. one player acting as trade broker for the alliance. Perhaps the simplest way, is to have an Alliance Trade Hub at the Alliance Capital. Only alliance members may trade there, but otherwise it works the same way as existing Trade Hubs, appearing in the same UIs. This allows discounted or nominal pricing, and exclusive access.
Edit: thought of a flaw: When you send resources to the square, are you sending to the town or the alliance trade hub? Edited by Albatross - 14 Aug 2014 at 15:14 |
