Quote Peoples' attention is attracted to the loudest speaker, even if it is brief

Case in point:  I bet you know who Sarah Palin is.  And I must admit that even as a Canadian she taught me what it means to fear "the top alliance." Confused

Who?   Tongue,

If you want to have something else to talk about, start something.

Peoples' attention is attracted to the loudest speaker, even if it is brief, and the H?/White/Black war and aftermath have had the loudest(longest) threads/arguments since pratically the beginiing of the game give it time and a new fad/war will take everyones attention for a while.

let me rearrange that

If you(anyone) want to have something else to talk about, start something.

Peoples' attention is attracted to the loudest speaker, even if it is brief, and the H?/White/Black war and aftermath have had the loudest(longest) threads/arguments since pratically the beginiing of the game give it time and a new fad/war will take everyones attention for a while.

Its just that I respect you the most from all the H? players in Illyriad. I made a promise to myself to stop every offensive words against any H? member about what all happened in the past.
And I never have seen you as a advocate, I see you as a man with wise words and a common sence, thats all ;-)

I'm good actually.  I ignore the malodorous fumes wafting from the "what to do" thread, and to an extent even the rumors I hear of CranK twisting my words when he repeats them among friends.*  For the most part, I keep my attention on factual documentation to help all (like Arcanum Illyria) and projects to improve the game as a whole (like HarmlessButler).  And I've recently taken up weaving chain maille, for which I cannot wait to receive my first shipment of high-quality aluminum and copper wire for my first big project (a fashionable halter top). Big smile

*and by the way, CranK, nothing I said to you was in any way expected to be kept in confidence, nor did I at any point suggest you had to keep quiet about anything.  I'd far rather, in fact, that you repeated my words in unabridged entirety, rather than trying to paint me as some kind of sympathizer or advocate.

Quote Perhaps that's just natural when you are the top alliance.

It very much is.  The largest alliance is always the subject of endless speculation in every social game, just like it gets the most requests for membership by brainless newbies, and the top player gets invited to the most 1-man leet-speaking alliances, etc.

I should note that there are other alliances at war...at least to the same degree that we are "at war."  For example, WOTP have their own quarrels with gigi that had nothing to do with us, and there are other such situations.  But no one ever talks about Vice President Joe Biden either.

I think people talk about whatever is exciting at the moment.  H? is the only alliance that has been reported as being in active warfare.  If other players/alliances were in wars and talked about it, we'd talk about that.  As proof of this statement, look through the forums enough and you will see some threads about other warring players.  I do admit H? topics get the most participation though.  Perhaps that's just natural when you are the top alliance.
