When one copies and pastes something from gc to mail, all the medals turn out gigantic. To make it readable, you have to manually delete all of them. This is very annoying especially when one is trying to take notes on what GM Stormcrow is saying for future reference.

I think those of us who use the igm system would really appreciate it if, at the very least, the elements of the editor which are currently broken (at least two - see below) are pushed up that priority list so that it works fully in its current limited form. More often than not I'm finding that people receiving messages from me containing hyperlinks end up looking at something like this http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#x_x_/World/Map/51/-2406 despite it appearing perfectly normal on my end. Clicking on that hyperlink either results in an error or autojumps you to some random place in the ocean between the two continents. The signature image seems to be completely borked as well. Again, it's another issue where it appears fine when sending but receiving it disappears entirely.

I assume you've already figured this out, but I wanted to mention it for those interested; use a separate app (notepad, etc.) to do your coding and copy paste into the online editor. Save your work and when you want to edit again, edit in the app and you can overwrite all the bad code generated by the online editor. I used this method when writing long IGMs (I do that) as well because sometimes the browser (phone, tablet or computer) would crash and I'd lose everything. The difficulty you mentioned in your post also began happening to me in the Illyriad Forum a while back (over a year ago). I've saved myself a ton of headaches doing this and highly recommend it.

To quote SC first:
"We had to change the editor because the old editor (whilst feature-rich for some) was actually preventing many players on iOS platforms from even sending igms. So the change was very important. We'll restore as much functionality as we can, but simple getting it working for about 20% of the playerbase was more important than formatting options for the rest!" ...and also to say, as was pointed out, that communications involve two parties. You might want to format that fancy email or profile, yet the person on the receiving end gets nothing but a headache (or app crash!) out of it. We will let you know if we adjust the editor back, but do not expect it any time soon. It's not high on the list of priorities. Rikoo

I'd like to bump this thread, specifically the points brought up by Artefore. In order to get formatting the way I want on our alliance profile page, now I have to directly edit the HTML. That's OK for me, as I am familiar with it. What's worse, though, is that the changes I make directly to the source work fine when I first update the profile page, but if I go back to make a change later I have to fix the ENTIRE thing again. When you re-open the editor, it changes parts of the code to what amounts to bad HTML, throwing in non-breaking spaces and empty paragraphs all over the place where I didn't place them. Then if you click update to save your new changes, it changes the original formatting completely, not just the updated sections.
I think the improvements given by this editor are great (like me being able to use my phone to IGM, that's awesome!). I think the regressions caused by this editor are annoying (like having to re-write all the formatting on my ENTIRE alliance profile page in HTML each time I make even a simple update). I know this has been brought up in GC before, so I originally chose not to post here because my complaint had pretty much been raised by Artefore. I changed my mind because as far as I am aware, nothing has been done to address or even respond to this complaint about profile and alliance profile pages.

I do not like the new editor, both the style of it, and the removal of features.
Previously I was able to copy-paste formatted spreadsheets into an IGM and it would look nice. This no longer happens. Anybody know of an easy way to do this now? Edit: I have attempted to copy and paste the html source code from a google spreadsheets page into an IGM. It looks good in the preview, but when the mail is sent all the cell sizes and colors disappear and it looks exactly the same as if I did a normal copy-paste. :(

Might just be me, but the new editor is still grindingly slow on my (not underspecced, it's practically better than my laptop) Windows 8 tablet.

there should be an option for every player to switch between two editors
lite version is good for mobile/tab users but can you please allow players playing from Computer to choose the older version
