So GFactor my lack of patience with whiners invalidates my awesome ideas? And I am always amicable, as much as I can be while being right at the same time. It's a delicate balance.
I'm not saying it's not a -very- involved idea from start to deployment, with some very complicated issues to sort out and it would be an 'expansion' worthy implementation but still it's an awesome idea to be on the radar screen. |

Well played, sir. ... So you're saying I *should* to try to speak for everyone else here, then?

I like the idea of having several cities together making one bigger city. It's what would happen in real life. I don't like his idea of walls suddenly having multiplied defence. If you make stone wall around village, or same stone wall around city, it's still same stone wall, I'd say even more easilly breakable since there will be probably less people on perimeter...
Disadvantages with such a thing... as system is now, linking 4 cities into one big, might mean that you could build only one thing at a time, not four. You probably wouldn't be allowed to have 4 barracks either (or any other similar building 4 times, unless they would change it, so slower development on the city... advantage would be that such city could grow into enormous size and that it could have possibly all possible buildings in one place...

Something tells me it's not brainpower that's the problem. You're proposing a very large, very influential, and very difficult addition to the game that would likely take the better part of a year (optimistically) to implement. At first glance, a feature like this -- and I almost want to call it an "expansion," because it's that big -- seems like it would make the game much more difficult to play from a thought perspective. Trying not to speak for everyone else, I know I don't like games I can't easily understand.
As an aside -- I'm going to posit that your idea got a lackluster reception in GC for a combination of several reasons: a) People were probably busy chatting about something else; b) GC is a relaxed atmosphere so people didn't *want* to think too hard about it; c) Your history on the forums suggests you may not have been very amicable in your approach to others, thus causing the "pitch" to fail. |

I don't 'get it'. Must be my 'brainpower' running flat again. :/

Ive been stumping my idea in GC and I don't think anyone has the brainpower to 'get it'. The basic idea is along the same lines as neighboring cities IRL being absorbed and 1 disencorporated when they grow against each other.
