That would exclude a lot of the people who'd be most inclined to need it though, namely new and/or casual players.

It's things like that which is why it's not already out, we need time to sit down and really plan out the mechanics to benefit everyone in the best way possible.

This is something we have discussed a lot in the past and will continue to discuss in the future.

Hopefully we'll be able to implement a solution to this problem soon(TM) that can sort it out.

However as you all know, this is something that needs to be carefully thought through and balanced to prevent exploitation, bugs and various serious unforseen problems.

The one time spell however has given us a lot of information that has been very usefull in pondering this though and I think you'll see positive development on the problem you pose.

Just to be clear, I am not suggesting this be a permanent feature at all - just until the migration option is introduced in the game.

That is all.

Hey

Although I am nothing but optimistic concerning the development of the game I have come across a small problem.

I am a part of an alliance that has settled as a group in the peripheral area of Fremorn. We definitely like the area, but we would very much like our alliance to grow. And so we have set out to recruit new players and show them how awesome people we are. And we manage to convince quite a few to join us.

However, most of our newfound friends cant move out to the "main body" of the alliance and are stuck in the central no mans land, where we cant assist their growth other than sparse and slow resource deliveries, nor give them the "feel" of being part of any real group.

Trouble is that players who are able to move their capital usually do so before we find them and ask if they want to join, and then its just too bad, too late. They move sometimes to reach special resources, to gain defensive boni or just to get to somewhere less crowded than where they begin. And thus the only meaningful thing for them to do is to join up with the "middle kingdom alliances" or none at all.

I have very much been looking forward to the implementation of migration - the ability for players to uproot their cities and move them elsewhere. There has been no set date for this implementation though and I fear our alliance may stagnate if we have to stand completely still for the next 6-12 months.

So I propose that the staff with regular (although seldom) intervals open up a timewindow for cities to be moved (say at a full moon where magic goes amok, or maybe just a weekend every second month) just like the teleportation spell we all got presented with a while back. This will help our recruitment a lot and until migration is a part of the game it will allow for a change of heart concerning where players want to be located. We all learn little tidbits gradually as we get into the game so we should be allowed to make a few mistakes. Puhleeeeeeze.

What say ye devs?
