Costs are per upkeep with a 90 day turnover, all dying each tournament and including the upkeep cost. More powerful units may have a lower cost per stat S Tier - Archers and slingers. With beer surpassing leather in price, archers and slingers are cleanly the cheapest units per upkeep, and both rather decent with the slinger’s surprising 14 speed possibly adding another second best unit to the dwarf roster, and the archer’s faster training speed and a bit more attack countering A Tier - T2 bows and sentinels ranging from 8% to 17% more expensive B Tier - The big shock stat - light cav are now the second cheapest unit type with only bows ahead of them. Most weapon costs have soared, while saddle costs are half of the price I remember circa 2018, making cavalry unexpectedly cheap. Light cav cost around 27% more and look pretty good with their speed Oh, and also the orc t1 bow clanguards, squeezed by the weight of their two spear training cost C Tier - This is a big group starting with the non-Dwarf T1 swords at 40% more expensive along with the fist and man-at-arms, and then the halbardier with the non-Orc T1 spears at 50% more expensive D Tier - Another large group with a surprising mix, wardancers and stalwarts along with the phalanx and pikeman join the runerider and death pack all at 64% more expensive. The kobold and axman are a bit more, then the marshal, and finally the knight clocks in at 80% more expensive E Tier - But wait, there’s more. The most expensive unit is now the orc T2 spear, the clan guardsman at 96% more expensive than the archer and slinger on a 90 day turnover, wielding the two spears, leather and chain like the phalanx and pikeman, while holding a tankard of beer in the other hand Elf bows and dwarf infantry do pack the most punch per cost vs the other races, while knights are not so clearly better value than marshals. Kobolds provide 10% less defence per cost than yeoman, and 5% less than militia, though their training rate difference is spectacular |
