OK....I'm still building my first trader BUT it is in a city that was sieged and exodused to a new location. A great amount of research has been completed and that begs this question:

Other than opening up all the research needed for a trader to work in trade hubs, is the trade office necessary for anything else?  Maybe something to do with sovereignty?

Once you have a trader and the trade research has been done, can you demolish the trade office and still continue to trade in the hubs with your trader?

As is well known....building sites inside the city walls are at a premium. Anything not absolutely necessary can be replaced with a more useful structure...imo  Thanks..Smile Dragonwort

You need the trade office to offer new deals in a hub.

Without a trade office, you'll still be able to accept any buy or sell offers, and also create offers at your city itself...

To expand on Bonfyr's answer, the crafting discoveries can be discovered at as many cities as meet the requirements for them.  The requirement for the racial sword is simply building a swordsmith (crafting building).  The requirement for the racial mount is completing any 20 crafting researches.

The videos ( among other things) don't seem to be working at the moment and i'm trying to get a trader to centrum....problem...I find no explanation in the 2 tutorials on how to fill out the page titled"harvesting mission"

There is a box for player and one for city, numerous choices and little instruction...I don't want my one free trader in cyberspace so I am loathe to press send until I know it's correct.

If I put Centrum in the town box the game goes through a player search and delivers "whiffle puff"?

Is the council of Illyriad the player and centrum the city or what?

Some step by step would be appreciated....ThanksSmile Dragonwort

AND having a horse trainer no doubt,,,,Is the information on prerequisites to discoveries anywhere?
It would really help in city planning...my horse crafting is in 2 entirely different cities than my main crafting city where i will eventually complete the needed 20 crafting researches.

I, of course, would have built differently had I known aforehand..ThanksSmile Dragonwort

The horse trainer is NOT a requirement for receiving the racial mount discovery.  Once you research 20 crafting techs in a city, you receive the discovery whether you have a horse trainer there or not.  Of course you would need a horse trainer to make any of them.

Only way to send a Trader to a Faction Hub that works for me is to find the Hub (search bar) and click on it in the map and choose to send the Trader.

AD, yes that's what I do, and that, in turn, brings up another page..."harvesting mission" which is basically the marching orders for your trader.

This is where I have the problem....numerous choices to fill in one or both option boxes (one is player..the other city) and no instructions as to which does what.

Example: if I type Centrum in the "town box" the game starts a player/town search to match and comes up with" wifflepoof" or the like. I do not want my trader to go to a city owned by WifflePoof or to a city named Wifflepoof

The harvesting mission page is not shown in either of the 2 guides to trading and I can't get the video to work to see if it is explained there.

I don't want to press send until i'm sure where the trader is going AND that's why I need the explanation of where to type what on the "harvesting mission" page.
