The body text from some partial mails (errored when trying to view), has been returned to peoples inboxes.

Greets! I rarely write here but there is issue that is really bothering me. Size of the map
Could it be possible to make the map bigger in the future updates instead of making it smaller by adding more layers to the sides. For example the map settings could be pop up, and the menus on top of map seem bit redundant. Also big text saying "world map" is maybe educational if you are starting the game first time, but not so useful in hour or two.
Map is the place where everything happens in the game after all? Id also like to see the advanced resources with out clicking on it and covering the search?
So more usability and less styling would be my wish
Search is great ad though :)

If this is done, I suggest that any officially-awarded medals carry (say) a small 'crown' indication, positioned (say) hanging off the top of the badge. This addition would not be available to the medal designer.

+1 for JimJams and Jarko!
Another thing, could be possible that winners from previous tournaments would be awarded with medals? That would be a nice and easy way to start getting familiarised with them. And they would have a real meaning!
Cheers,

I don't understand people comments. Look like the UI is not the same for everyone, because I really cannot understand how the people can like it.
I like the changes in this version, but not the interface. While everything is still the same, all looks bad. Mixed enormous and minuscule fonts? Useless trills and frills making the pages even less compact. Let's see what I dislike:
+ City drop down font is huge, completely unrelated with the rest + Central part headers (like "City Maps" or "Military Overview") are huge and useless.... + tabs could be more compact, so much vertical space wasted + redesigned parts are horrible. ie Military armies, armies tab: huge font (a kill for the compactness) with graphic background (a kill for the eyes) + ranking lists: why the avatar icon ?? again a waste of vertical space. now i have to scroll every page, and the icon has no use .... + friend lists: same as above, useless avatar icons + all the buttons: red ??? it's an April foul ?
overall V2 was a lot better, more elegant, simple, compact, not perfect but way way better than V3
V3 looks really an hobbyist work, sorry... |
I agree with everything written here, specifically what he said on the choice of fonts and colors. The previous version looked way more "medieval", more consistent with the game itself.
Also, don't know if it's just me, but the pages became sooo much slower to scroll, particularly with chrome but also with firefox - in general, they are more "laggy"... It's like they got much heavier than before, something I can't explain really. It's making me take ages to do everything.

PS: thumbs up for the new functions instead!

Love 90% of the updates, looking really good (especially loving the medals! I've been playing with designs all morning) but I am having a bit of trouble when searching players on the global rankings - the person I'm looking for is no long highlighted. Could we get that back please? It makes life a lot easier.

Update: - Empty friends list instructs how to add friend and accept requests.
- Friends list now doesn't break on adding first friend (though fixed by refresh).
- Awarding medal now mails the recipient on the awarder's behalf with instructions on where to find the medal, its name, the title that comes with it and the inscription if any. As these are player emails they will not ever deleted by the auto-clean-up of system emails.
- Links in system mails should no longer be broken (e.g. accept alliance invite).
- Formatting in Firefox is much improved.
- Daily reward on herald now shows correct time when the next one can be claimed.

Update: You can now use in game mail to share medal designs that you've saved. Just click the little mail icon on the lower right corner of the medal.

It's awesome. Two minor things that poke my eyes
1. glowing red buttons for everything (it takes the focus off the rest of the page. Those are better used for prestige spend as before. The old "scroll" button was very neat for generic purposes.)
2. Disparity is font sizes. Some texts on the page are small (notifications, resource numbers), while some texts are much larger(the tabs and the "city map" title). |
YES and YES - I agree 100% with both points (^_^)
