Ok i know it's a bit late now and i wish the devs had thought of it (maybe they did,) but without seeming to be a moaner, I think the squares should of been on a rotation basis.
once a week for the 4 week duration,  they should move on,  to different set locations, this way more people could get a better chance at this competition.
How many players I wonder are missing out because distance is unlogistical, yet others have a location more or less on their door step?

Maybe having rotational locations wouldn't work, although I cant think of any reasons considering NPC factions do it all the time, so why wasn't the idea implemented?

It's an interesting idea for a future tourney.  Given how long it takes for armies to march to squares, unless the rotation was announced in advance, it seems like people might spend more time marching than fighting.

I have a square right outside my city; on the other hand Ryelle's armies are marching for two days for the square the Snugglers are targeting.  I think if people are determined to participate, they can make it work even with relatively distant squares.

There's a square per territory.

If you're missing out, it aint logistical.

I noticed this as well.  I am glad to see this equal dispersion by the DEV's.  This is much better than the four locations on the 500,500's - but I can see how shifting it every so often (maybe every week) can be beneficial to someone who has to travel half way across their region to make it to a square.

actually im not missing out, there is a square only 3hrs from one of my towns...but we have smaller inexperienced players who would like to take part but see it pointless because its still over a days march.
Thanks for the input on one square per region, didnt know that.

a day march... hmmm
looking at how much time my vans take to reach just 20 squares above i would say armies at 3h distance is really close.
