To ponder "Swift and Ruinous"...  Could it mean these painfully slow moving corrupted beings that come back after we visit the temples?  Perhaps a community of players much smarter than us would have figured out this discovery by now but not before learning that you can limit the number of corrupted that return from the temples while Audrey is active.  And you said there was no benefit for the discovery taking SOOO long, I beg to differ.

So we each have our little plans in place to hold back the tentacles where previous players have failed?  Is the suspicion that it will be the FULL MOON or NEW MOON?  The New Moon provides darkness for the escape, but maybe the tentacles don't see so well and need the light of the Full Moon to break out and create their little spore-infestation around a city that has failed in this mission.

Is failure necessary to prompt additional messages along the way to the discovery?  Have we missed a clue?  Is the British-style English in the messages we have so far just incomprehensible?  Does Audrey generate a different message during this period when something is sent at it?

Additional speculations encouraged... it will make me seem less crazy.
