Step by Step Guide to Starting an Offense Capable Army Initial Step 1: Research Militia Initial Step 2: Build a Barracks Initial Step 3: Produce troops Assuming you have produced troops already and assuming you know how to find your Barracks: Step 1: Go to your Barracks, you will see 5 options; Summary, Production, Commanders, Armies and Move Step 2: Click on the 'Commanders' Button. Step 3: Look under 'Create New Commander', you will give one of your units a name and promote him/her into a commander, lets call it "My Commander" for the time being, you can change it later. (Insert a Commander Name and push the 'Promote' Button.) Step 4: Click on the 'Armies' Button. Step 5: Look under 'Create New Army', you will give your army a name and form it, lets call it "My Army" for the time being, you can change it later. (Insert Army Name and push the 'Form' Button. Step 6: Click on the Arrow right next to "My Army". Step 7: Look at 'Create Division', you will give your division a name and form it, lets call it "My Division" for the time being, you can change it later. (Insert Division Name and push the 'Create Division' Button.) Step 8: Click on the Arrow right next to "My Division". Step 9: Look at "Appoint commander: You will see a drop down box with the name "My Commander". Appoint him by pushing the 'Appoint' Button. Step 10: Look under "Assign Troops to Division", here you can assign troops to "My Division". It tells you how many and what type of troops you have available. Step 11: Now insert a number higher then zero and less then or equal to how many troops you have available. Push the 'Move' Button. Congratulations! You have an Army! You want to use em now you say? You need a target! I can't provide that for you. If you want a target of your own choosing... Step 1: Look on the map! Step 2: Click on a square on the map! Step 3: You will see the option to 'Send Army'. Click on 'Send Army'! Step 4: If you did everything right... you will see: "My Army" Current Orders: Defending New Order: Attack (Drop Down Box) Type Regular Army Travel Speed: X (Probably Speed of 8) Army Travel time to destination: X (Depends on how far you looked) The 'Send' button! Step 5: ???? Step 6: Profit! Congratulations! You can now terrorize your local area now! Don't let that get to your head!

It's way more fun suiciding your army though. Plus it makes your attack rank sky rocket and sometimes a high rank is all it takes to make players leave you alone. |

Maybe this post should be stickied, it's something we refer to over and over. At a minimum, I'm bumping it up a notch.

For all you poor noobs being misled by Step 1, you'll find the 'options' popping up around the Military Overview button at the top of your screen. It's teh big axe.
