maybe we should be alerted when someone camps an army on our sov, especially when its right next to our cities.... others thoughts?

+1 Absolutely agree, a notification would be much appreciated.

I hear that idea from time to time and i always wonder what is the point.I mean you would get report in inbox that some players army is on your sov and then what?I mean what is that player actualy doing there, if he is reclaiming your sov you would get the msg about that anyway, if he is preparing siege you would see red inbound siege army so you are likely to check around your city to see if there is some hostile army there.So for most important things you already do get notification.Only scenario where you dont get it if players kills some NPC and send army to guard NPC parts on your sov, which i agree is something that should not be done, and if that happens and you do not notice it on your own then really that player is not taking something that is yours since you did not bother to see his hunter/gatherer army in first place nor were you interested in killing those NPC.Another way not to notice army on your sov is for player to simply park his army there and do nothing and i am not sure that i would want to be informed about some unimportant event like that.I have also never heard of anyone parking army on someones sov except during the war and like i said if that happens you are probably already informed about it due to incoming hostile army with siege engines in your militray overview.
