Ruby Jubilee - Winners
In a glorious ceremony earlier this week, King Sigurd and his court welcomed the leaders of the top three alliances that captured and held the most territory in this, the King's Ruby Jubilee and the Tournament of the Dragons! "In an epic series of battles," the King announced to the crowd. "Members of Valiant Crows [vCrow], Elysian Fields [Shade] and Victrix [VICX] all held the first, second and third places respectively. While we take this opportunity to congratulate and lift up these commanders, we must also remember the thousands and thousands of soldiers who died in order for the prize to be won. It is my honor to give these commanders the awards they so proudly deserve, and I must say that I could not have asked for a better jubilee gift. To see my kingdom grow and strengthen like this makes my heart swell." As the crowd cheered, the gifts were presented: for the first place winner, vCrow, a small army of Dragon Revenants were brought forth in chains. The crowd backed as far away from the silenced beasts as possible. Even while put to sleep by a spell from the King's court, the beasts gave off a shimmer of fear. For the second place winners, Shade, a line of Bone Dragons came forward. For the third place winners, VICX, a mass of Bone Drakes were to be given. Each alliance was able to place a massive statue at the location of their choice, a memorial to the commanders who made the tough call of where and when to send their prized troops. As the King draped massive medals over the alliance leader's necks, the crowd cheered once more. Later in the evening the capital was lit up by lights in the sky, the result of the King's magician's fireworks. Congratulations to the winners, and to all of the alliance who fought hard to hold territory! Edited by GM ThunderCat - 06 Jun 2014 at 04:45 |
