The message I received when I signed in:
You have entered an incorrect user name or password more than 5 times in the last hour and have been locked out for 15 minutes. Please try different information or create a new account.
This is simply not true.

This happened to me today, except said 10 times. Is there some player going around trying to lock people out of their accounts???
