The Phalanx [300] is pleased to announce the next gladiator event of the Thunderdome: Last Man Standing series. Combatants will take to the battle arena for city-vs-city carnage. The event dates are 21 June 2017 to 23 July 2017.
For those new to the Thunderdome LMS events, let's recap the basic rules. Gladiators will each bring a single city into the battle arena. They will fight for 32 consecutive days in lethal PvP combat. Losers will be destroyed via raze or will flee the arena by exodus. If more than one survivor reaches the end date of 23 July 2017, a panel of judges will score their battle prowess and declare a winner. But let's be honest, we are all hoping that only a single player makes it out alive, crowned the victor atop the smouldering rubble of their challengers.

Combat will commence in Thunderdome in about 5 hours. We have two gladiators for the Summer Solstice 2017 edition of the Thunderdome: Last Man Standing series. Grum of YARR is a veteran combatant from the first PvP classroom and the first Thunderdome event. She was narrowly defeated by Treggar of GATE in the first Deathmatch. Her challenger is the mysterious Mistress Tiro.

It has been an exciting Thunderdome weekend so far. Late Saturday night, Grum had a blockade on Mistress Tiro plus a firing siege. Scavenged piles of equipment indicated another two broken camps.
Today, Tiro's city appears to have been reduced from about 4500 pop to below 2500 pop. The blockade and siege appear broken or recalled.

The final week of the Deathmatch saw some great fighting. Mistress Tiro was sieged twice by Grum, but broke both sieges. The event is now over. As more than one survivor remains, the API reports will be collected and sent to the judges.
Congratulations to both survivors, and thanks for another exciting Deathmatch in Thunderdome.
