The growth charts for my cities have stopped updating, apparently at about 19:00 yesterday evening. I've tried rebooting my computer, and using another computer, so it doesn't appear to be an issue with a local cache not updating.

Has anyone else noticed this? If it's just me then I will try some other things to fix it, but if others are seeing it then that would imply it was a server issue.

The charts for my alt and I appear to be no longer updating as well.

Is it just me or did all growth charts stop working on the 19th? Same result in Firefox and Chrome.

Chrome: 57.0.2987.110 (64-bit)
Firefox: 52.0.1 (64-bit)

Yes, it does seem to be all growth charts - alliance, player and city.

Also not updating in Safari.

I logged a petition about this. It's number 12074, but it's not been picked up by a GM yet.

Okay, can we get an update for this now please? Not having updated growth charts has become a source of irritation for me.

Agreed.  During a tourney is kind of the worst time for this to not be working.  Hopefully something that comes back soon.

That's a great observation Tensmoor. Perhaps they had to change the code for whatever reason to make it work in steam, but doing so much it not work in browserland...

I think there should be some method of being able to see if a ticket you are about to submit is similar/relates to one that is already under investigation. You could then have the opportunity to associate your ticket with that one or not bother submitting. Having a ticket that seems to just sit there unassigned is very frustrating but I can see a situation where if a similar ticket is already under investigation then it could be just 'ignored'.

There are potential data security issues with opening up the database of tickets to public view, though I can see the obvious advantages. In this instance Lost A could have read the thread to find my ticket number.. ;-) (Though I hadn't let people know it was under investigation)

I know the devs are still trying to make a living out of their code, but I wonder whether the community engagement that is seeing player-run tournaments will eventually see some players entrusted with fixing bugs?

Certain types of petition may need to be kept private such as petitions which are reporting breaches in the rules. However, technical issues to me seem fairly innocuous to disclose. Maybe to circumvent the problem of data security, you could have to option of making petitions either public or private when you submit them so it leaves that decision to the user.
There could then be a place in the forums where public petitions are posted and to show you have a similar issue you could 'like' the post. Posts with more likes can then be prioritised by the devs as they are clearly affecting more people.

Still working on this; I broke something Confused

Still have been collecting all the data during this period, but the processor and updater hasn't been working.

For the curious the alliance, player and town stats currently stand at around 64GB of data.

Thank you very much to all those involved in working on this but when I try to view the growth for someone all I get is the spinning discs. Checking the network traffic in FF Dev Tools I see the html for the page arriving but there doesn't seem to be any data arriving. This only happens in Firefox (53.0.3) - Chrome works fine.

Fixed it - I had to re-install FF to get it to work so obviously something on my end. I shall now take myself outside for the thrashing I so richly and thoroughly deserve :)

Thank you for fixing this. I was worried it would be broken forever.

At first it didn't work for me, but I logged out and logged back in again and it all worked.
