Greetings Illyriad,

This notice is to inform all current players of Illyriad that as of Game Time 00:00:00 Tuesday 22^nd November, Hogwarts at Illyriad will no longer define itself as strictly a “training” alliance. Even so, training and protecting new players will continue to be the overriding mission of Hogwarts, and as an alliance we will continue to honor all NAPs and Confederations.

Going forward, Hogwarts will continue to remain peaceful and employ diplomacy to the point of exhaustion in order to resolve any future conflicts; however, we hereby reserve the right to protect our members and interests by any means necessary if we deem such diplomacy unsuccessful.  

Over the past year and a half it has become clear that while the vast majority of Illyriad players respect the inherent peaceful nature of training alliances, there are also many others that will use the non-aggressive nature of such alliances to their own benefit with little fear of any consequences greater than a few stern in game messages, which are easily ignored.

This notice should be considered fair warning to those that would attack or infringe on Hogwarts members in the future.
