There is a place where we sing

a place of angels, demons, and other things

the song has no voice, no melody

the song has neither tune nor tone

it is the song of silence you can hear

the song under your breath and in your head

where angels cry and devils weep

and the cacophony of other things brought to a dim quietude

this is the song i will sing to you

when we are dead and in the cool tombs

the song of silence

utterly pure and perfect
