Why send your caravans on long trips to Centrum when a range of competitively priced goods are present locally in Tudeyll and Santellya? All prices are benchmarked against the lowest sell price in Centrum at the time when my sell order is posted. A promising attempt to actively shape a new market at a trade hub. Sent a trader there: most of the prices are competive (in contrast to many other hubs), many gatherable goods available... Worth a view in.... |

With six traders in six different hubs (not including the two in this post), I find that Centrum is by far the most useful, in terms of both variety and price. Apart from Centrum the other hubs have essentially no activity; I'm not sure why, but the unrealistic prices and limited items available may have a lot to do with it. The only non-Centrum hub I really use is the one closest to my towns, and I mainly use it to store my more valuable items so I don't have to worry about theft too much. Also, by accumulating my inventory in one place it makes it easier to see what I have available, without having to check through every town. What I don't understand is the (usually) huge gap between buy and sell prices, often by the same player at the same hub. I can't see the point of placing orders that will probably never be filled.

As a past customer of this fine merchant, I can attest to the competitiveness of his prices. Always plenty of animal parts in stock. Best part is I'm so close I don't even need a trader to buy them!
