Hello,

Have you guys ever thought of doing special prestige sales on holidays or whatnot?

Evony(I know name is forbidden) does stuff like double cents for the same price or no upkeep buffs if you buy a pack on holidays and people go absolutely nuts for it. Know you aren't as greedy as them, but it's beneficial for players and devs alike.

Borrowing and giving prestige would be nice and would also let you move it between your accounts, but it would mean introducing real money into the game. Prestige is like money: you can buy it for real money and could probably sell it for real money to another player if you offered a good price. Bigger players blackmailing smaller players or large amounts of prestige being part of a peace agreement between alliances could become common.

I think holiday specials are fine, gifting would lead to illegal real-money buying of resources.

The problem with the gifting idea someone posting is that people would start selling their free prestige and profiting off the game financially, I never want to see that happen.

I just want holiday sales because I'm a bargain hunter!

I'd probably buy more prestige, even if I didn't really need it, if I knew I could get more for less. =D

I don't think enabling people to transfer prestige to others is a good idea. The worst outcome would be larger players bullying smaller ones for prestige. At least with the current system, the person who is requesting prestige has to let the other person be an account sitter -- which would tend to cut down on coercive demands to buy prestige, lol.

On a more serious note I do believe Rill is right; play ground bullying tactics will become common practice; with the big kids shaking the little ones for there pocket money; err - prestige. Thats going to be a huge drawback.

Not that Id ever do that; mine is a mutual exchange. Ill speed up your growth. Wink

Agree with the need for an enhanced concept of prestige and bonuses as rewards in the game. Illyriad tournaments geared to benefit all player levels, held at regular and recurring time intervals (including worldwide holidays) might be an excellent incentive to all players.
