Actually, not to split hairs here, but I believe that the in-game livestock term applies to cows - not horses. You can ofcourse simply ignore this and consider them both livestock if you wish. Its just a word afterall.

Good point Torden, thank you.  I don't recall that I've ever seen horses referred to as livestock in the game, but I'll keep my eye out to see if they are.

I tried to find the answer via search

Q: Can I change the capital city to another city, without moving or raising the current capital?

No, you can't.  The developers have said that they will include a feature to voluntarily change the capital at some point.  We are not holding our collective breath, although many would like this feature.

1. The total amount of quantity that can be stored in a city, is storehouse and warehouse added together? or the higher of the two? And, vault, only gives protection to the resource based on the level. That is it?

2. Sovereignty on the land allows to build one one building on such land?

1) total storage capacity for all resources except gold, mana and research points is the total of the storehouse + warehouse. You will need both for a lvl 20 wall.

As for the Vault, it's protection is as follows: (courtesy of http://arcanum-illyria.com/wiki/Building_Charts#Storage_Management - credit to HM and everone else who contributed to building this awesome site)

Only one building can be built on a given sovereign square at any one time.  For example, you can build a Farmstead OR a Cattle Rancher on a square.  If you want to change the building type, you can demolish the building and build a different one.

So is it correct to assume -

1.  that the vault only gives protection to a percentage (as per the chart) of the total in storage?

2.  It does not provide additional storage space to the goods it protects?

The vault does not provide any additional storage.  Resources stored and resources protected are independent of each other, although the amount protected can never exceed the amount stored.  It might help to thing of the vault as being a subsection of the storehouse that has extra protection (although it is a separate building on the town map).

It protects a certain amount of resources at each level, which results in some percentage of storage being perspective, but the amount stored and the amount protected by the vault are independent of each other.  A level 1 vault will always protect 500 resources, regardless of the level of storage.  In the unlikely event that the vault protected more than the storage could hold, then of course it could only protect the amount stored.

For example, a level 3 storehouse holds 1267 of each resource (based on my recollection).  A level 3 vault protects 2500 of each resource.  However, if a city only had a level 3 storehouse and a level 3 vault, the effective protection of the vault would be 1267 resources, since that would be the most that could be stored in the city.

The vault protects 10 advanced resources per level, so a level 3 vault would always protect 30 of each type of advanced resource, since this is less than the basic storage level of a town with no storehouse (500 resources).
