Hello all,

A portion of the Illy dev team will be in Austin Texas during GDC Online next month, Oct. 9-10. I wanted to gauge the interest in having a player/dev meetup one of the evenings of the event. I know that for sure I can make it for a meetup either that Tuesday (9) or Wednesday (10) evening for dinner, but we won't know until a bit closer to the event who else from the dev side will be able to go. But I think it would be a lot of fun to meet some of our players who are from the area, in meatspace. :)

The conference is downtown at the Austin Convention Center so we'd probably meet some place very close to that, maybe walking distance. Hopefully someone who knows the area well can make a recommendation.

Let me know if this sounds like something you'd be interested in doing and which day you'd prefer. As we get closer to the day, we'll finalize the details.

See ya then!

Luna

***edit***

Update: We'll be meeting at Cedar Door at 8PM on Wednesday Oct. 10. Please contact GM Luna or reply to this thread to RSVP.

Bummer. Working both days and live in San Antonio.

Austin is alright. San Antonio has much better food. Too bad for me I guess.

I'll be there.

Either day works fine - I can also recommend places to eat/drink depending on your preferences.

I might have considered that, if I hadn't started a week ago.

Either day works for me. Here's  a map of DT Austin with the Convention Center and nearby restaurants marked. The last on the list, Chuy's, isn't within walking distance but is one of the best places to eat/drink/hang out in the city.

Looking forward to it!

I believe you need to add the Ginger Man to that list due to it's amazing beer selection :)
