As I recall from the video, they said that the two buildings that grant access to the faction markets for making orders (Merchant's Guild and another one) will require resources in addition to food but the rest (for gathering and crafting) will only require food.

Can someone enlighten us on the status? The video said "this week" which interpreted as by midnight today.
Now if there are delays, that's understandable... it's just that you have us drooling.

It is still Saturday in Europe. Week does not end until after 23:59 tomorrow in most of the world.

i may advise the new people to get used to the fact, that the devs don't give precise dates about anything. figures, i want a bug free release, so they shall very well triple check for bugs or such. after all i prefer a late release than a fatal failure hidden bug slipping trough. not that asking would not help, but maybe the answer will still not please you anyways.

I see a problem here. If I am a small player and there is a mine(s) close to me. And a big player decide it is his he will send big army to camp on it. I can forget about it. Then I look for a mine more far away. But big player is camping there too. Ok... even more far away. Damn big players!!!
So it is nice to have 999 new things in the game but when do I, as a small player, get to use them? In 365 days when I get bigger? Can I get bigger if already big players now see my city next to some mine and think... say, thats a nice town.
This new change could make many smaller players quit.

Small, new players do not have as much power as established players. That will not change with this release. Options for small, new players include joining an alliance and/or being patient and growing. Another alternative for a small player might be collecting resources that are more plentiful and therefore less likely to be attractive to larger players. You can also trade for the resources on the market.
