Is there some criteria that you have to have been attacked while at the flag to receive credit for being there? I sent forces to this flag yet my name isn't listed. I was only there a short time < 1 day I recall, and I don't remember being attacked while I was there but I was part of the occupation?

Yes, atm the criteria is exactly that: Participation at the flag is only noted by 'participation in a combat event' in the logs I used for this dataset.

We do have logs which would show non-combat arrivals at the flags, and I could cross-reference these for the final grant of reward by square.

But I'll need to think awhile on whether a brief, breezy and uneventful visit to a flag that didn't involve combat participation constitutes true, participatory "risk and reward".

My head tells me that it does according to the (need-to-tighten-up-before-the-next-tournament) ruleset I published , but my heart says "meh" Smile

As I read the original write up for the tourney awards, a mere 1 minute Occupy Hold on a flag would qualify the member of the winning alliance to the spoils of victory.  I even encouraged people to play that tactic.  But hey, not my awards to hand out.  ;)

Yuppers on all fronts.

Our next official tournie will have a vastly tightened ruleset to prevent "prize tourism" (and I'm emphatically not meaning to imply that this has happened in this particular circumstance).

I will add in, as a supplement, non-combat participants to each square, and note them in an addendum to each post.

No need to imply, that's exactly what I did. However if the rules said otherwise then I would have parked an army there for as long as it took to qualify. The only reason I didn't stay longer was so that I could have my forces closer to home to respond to other needs.

Fair enough indeed, sirrah.

It's certainly within the published rules, and so I will expand out the reward selection criteria to include non-combat participants as prize recipients as well for each square reward.

I'll add in the additional players in a supplement later today.

I used the same tactics for SW and S flag. Turned up for a brief period. Hence no reward (yet?).

Edit: It seems i'm also in the report now =))

I do understand you (Illy) don't want to encourage prize tourism, but had I known the rules I would off course parked the army for a longer period.
