There is a prevailing belief that catapult performance in the field is based on race, and that dwarves generally have the "best" catapults. This stems from the fact that the dwarves' catapults have a racial advantage in speed (they will move 7.50 with draught horses).
However, with the exception of speed, is there any quantitative evidence to prove or even suggest that one race's catapults are any more accurate than others? Game developers: is there anything you can tell us now that hasn't been said before regarding whether race impacts the accuracy of volleys from catapults? I'll interpret the lack of response in this thread to mean that there is no evidence that the catapults of certain races are more accurate than others when it comes to hitting.

Interesting question, dont know, however Im sure a number of tests could be done using the scientific method. I would be interested in the results.

some say dwarven cats get 1/3 hits of total volleys fired and other races get 1/4 but no evidence yet found

I can attest that I(Dwarf) had an accuracy of 33% on attack. I did not collect data for other races.
MANY attacks(100+) recorded using 150 catapults at one time.
Mind you, my data is about 4+ years old. |

There was a table previously, but I cannot currently find it.
From memory dwarves start with an accuracy (% to hit) of around 32%, then orcs on 30%, humans on 28%, elves on 26%. Not exact figures but close. Each hour, the accuracy goes up by around 2% for each race.
