Sit around the fire folks
I have a tale to tell
So snuggle into your blankets
And prepare to sit a spell.

It's a tale about John McGilligan
A tall and stalwart half-elf.
And quite the handsome man he was
If I do say so myself.

McGilligan sought adventure
And went down Kumala way.
It was just to be a visit
He had no plans to stay.

But deep in the rainforest
Is the very darkest part
Lies a thrumming, beating
Pulsing, corrupted heart.

To every warning cry
McGilligan turned deaf ear
And deeper he went
With just a sturdy spear.

Our elf was never good with directions,
Believe me, just ask his wife.
He wandered on, refusing to ask
And this time he paid with his life.

And into that vile pit he went.
And looked into darkness true.
A sight that seared his skin and soul,
A mistake he lived to rue.

Even now as a corrupted thing
He just circles at Audrey's side.
Forever lost, forever stuck
On a direction unable to decide.

(Inspired by the Corrupted Troop that's been circling -998|-823 for at least three days now)
