Alliance Name: the House of Plantagenet (PLAN)
Recruitment Contact: Recruitment officer Mr Ears; or the King of the Realm, Cactus Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? We are not race restrictive. We take anyone who has the desire to learn the game. What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? We take care of our own! People will receive training and protection. They will be taught how to play the game and be courteous to their neighbors. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? We stand for peaceful coexistence among the alliances. We are lead by the King of the Realm and his Court of the Round Table. We want people to have fun free of suppression and oppression from other individuals or alliances. What alliance are you affiliated with? Damage Inc. (OUCH) is our sister alliance and protective umbrella. Other alliances have also indicated they will protect us from aggressive players and alliances. When do your member Graduate on advantage (is it based on pop, time played, etc.)? We do not require people to quit at a certain level. If they reach a level of 40k pop , normally they have already been taught to be a mentor to the newer people in the alliance. They may choose to leave at anytime , or at any level int heir training. They will not be forced out unless they cause a problem or cease to be active in the alliance. If they want to move to another alliance, we will help them find a home. What makes your training alliance different from the other? When possible we have one on one training between mentors and our new people. We make every effort to make them feel like part of the "family" of PLAN What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPC's or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactive's, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? 1. We train and allow people to attack only NPC's, abandoned and/or inactive players unless they first have been the victim of an unprovoked attack. Then they must gain permission from the leadership to retaliate. If they were wronged and diplomatic measures were unsuccessful in achieving a satisfactory resolve then what ever retaliatory measures would be administered would be controlled by the Prime Minister of PLAN and must be approved bythe King.. 2. Abandoned accounts that are still attached to an alliance may not be attacked without permission from the home alliance 3. Should our confederated alliances ask for help with a just cause, only volunteers from our alliance may join their fight. They must drop out of PLAN to join a fight but when they are done, may return without penalty. The leadership of PLAN will determine whether the cause is just. 4. In time of war, PLAN shall remain Neutral as an alliance. 5. Contrarily we will not stand by and let others harass or intimidate our players and expect not to receive retaliation. Any other information you would like to add? none! People who join PLAN will be free from harassment from within the alliance. We do not allow badgering or misconduct from ill tempered and ill mannered players. We are a family in Illy and want to keep it friendly and clean.

Alliance Name: Heroes of the Horn (HOTH) Recruitment Contact:Lord Ados, La Bete Vert, Kylinneiera, Dragonwort Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? We welcome all races and population levels. Relocation is at the player's discretion. HOTH members are located throughout Elgea and Broken Lands What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? HOTH is a peaceful training alliance and as such enjoys protection from most of Illriad's alliances. Our goal is your growth in both knowledge and size. We will provide you with resources and guidance to achieve that goal. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? We believe in non-aggression and will always use diplomacy before force. We believe all of our members should have a chance to grow their empires and knowledge of the game enough to become a self sufficient entity in Illyriad. What alliance are you affiliated with? Hoth is a sister alliance to Wheel of Time (WoT) and associated with The Dark Empire (Dark). We enjoy peace agreements with many of the largest alliances. When do your member Graduate on advantage (is it based on pop, time played, etc.)? Our members do not graduate but choose the time themselves when they are ready to move on to the next level of development. What makes your training alliance different from the other? All of the above... What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? Go here and read under "And now about us. Seriously": Any other information you would like to add? HOTH is looking for active players who want to grow in all aspects of the game. We emphasize a balanced approach to both learning and growth. Illyriad is a very long term game and patience will be your greatest virtue. Any who join are expected to obey alliance rules, maintain moderate growth, and remain active during your time with us. Edited by Dragonwort - 01 Mar 2015 at 15:11 |

Alliance
Name: EAGLES EYRIE
Who can
join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? No restrictions on race, sex or location!
What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? The EAGLES have been involved in the last two major wars and as such are tired from constant fighting. We are now involved in hunting down remaining mysteries and opening our Gremont hub. We are mature gamers who watch out for each other, from over twenty different countries now!
What alliance are you affiliated with? Our tightest ties are those with PLAN and HEAT, our neighbours in the north of Elgea.
When do your member Graduate on advantage (is it based on pop, time played, etc.)? Players stay with us!
What makes your training alliance different from the other? We have some of the most experienced players in Illy, and we have explored all facets of the game in depth! Nothing encourages learning like an incoming siege!
What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? We only carry operation from within the alliance. Other than that we maintain civility and decorum in AC (read we don’t swear or profane), and enjoy each other’s company and learn about cultures, family etc
Any other information you would like to add? We aim to be a top 5 alliance by the end of 2015 |

Alliance Name: Gizmonic Institute (tag: MST3k)
Recruitment Contact: so far, just me (Pehla) - I made it recently, but I hope to add to it :) Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? no restrictions on race, location, pop level ('cept I Highly encourage you to "finish" the city tutorial :D). Mostly, this will be a peaceful, trade-centered alliance, and the only ones that we may weed out are ones that overtly militaristic or have a self-/guild-sabotaging mindset... That being said, if you're nice, caring, and easy to get along with..with a "great" sense of humor, you'll prolly move up the ranks in Illy, both in the guild and also the game. What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? Being a returning player, I can't offer "full" protection, but would recommend you Don't go looking for trouble in the first place. However, being a new guild/kinship, I will be doing the recruiting, so when I add you and we talk, you'll be able to be trained in the finer things Illy has to offer. If, for some reason, I do not know the answer, I will point you towards resources (inside and outside the game), players, and possibly other guilds who could help. I am not going to keep someone who doesn't want to stay; that's not how I roll. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? Mst3k has a sub-theme of being free-spirited, and counter-society/culture. I will instill this theme in all our alliance-mates whenever possible. I will not instill rebellious-ness; instead, I will instill a critical (thinking) mindset...as the late, great George Carlin said, "you need to look at things from a slanted, 45 degree angle" from everyone else, and be able to realize when something doesn't feel right. That being said, if you're looking for a fight, militaristically, this is the wrong alliance for you. As stated (so far) on the in-game alliance page, the alliance will pursue every means necessary to find a non-"lethal" solution; where that fails, it will be remembered that, "War is diplomacy by another means". What alliance are you affiliated with? I am not affiliated with any "larger" alliance (see next question), so we will not be swayed by petty squabbles among the larger alliances, but will rely on our internal metrics/decisions among our own members, as each one of us will have equal access to the information presented - and each one will be able to vote independently from each other to reach an equitable decision that will affect the entire alliance. When do your member Graduate on advantage (is it based on pop, time played, etc.)? I would not "force" graduation; you are free to move on when you wish, when you think yourself ready. We are not jedi - there are no trials; we are not a school - there are no tests; if you feel you are ready to move on, that is the best measurement. What makes your training alliance different from the other? Being "different" or "unique" is being thrown about in today's society, therefore this seems like a loaded question. However, I have returned thrice now (Lutie, BobSmith, and now Pehla), so I have seen many things go away, but I have also seen many changes arrive. If you cannot bend with the wave(s), you will break when it does. Also, being a Mst3k-themed alliance, we will encourage levity and being jovial/happy whenever the situation presents itself. If you cannot laugh at the world, the world will not be kind to you; if you can laugh at the world, life will laugh with you. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? As an alliance that strives to maintain a "peaceful" nature with its neighbors, diplomats and troops can be used against any NPC, limited factions (it will be an alliance-wide vote on which one(s)..."an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind"), and no real players (inactive or not). The exception(s) to the above rule: 1. with explicit written permission, copied and pasted to me, from the player in question; 2. if by some odd chance we are at war, my war minister will see to the organization of the armies and overall tactics. Any other information you would like to add? if you are unfamiliar with either Rifftrax, Mystery Science Theater 3000, or Cinematic Titanic, I would recommend doing some research first, b/c comedy - like laughter - is always the best medicine. Thank you for your time and patience in reading this ^_^ - Pehla, "The Mad" of Gizmonic Institute.
