Topic: Apology to Shade as led by Duke Posted: 04 Dec 2012 at 18:55 |
My deepest apologies to The Duke and his members for declaring war on your alliance, you were acting in the interest of someone attempting to get out of a larger war and I didn't help that at all. Sorry for sieging your player and with that I will resign two cities from my Eternal Fire account and two from my Subatoi account to replace the population damage and distress done to your member.
I resign any hold to the remnants of my alliance The Long Road, now titled Ancient Air to a Ncrow representative.
With best wishes,
Eternal Fire/Subatoi

I've no knowledge of the circumstances preceding this, but kudos for such a well-stated and earnest apology.

My apologies to EF for my emotional words previously. The actions of his less-cultured members does not reflect his ability to lead an alliance.

Stop instigating.

An foolish and shortsighted idea from someone who constantly whines about the lack of conflict in this game. This mentality is exactly what's preventing the very war game play you so desire. If you destroy your enemies beyond repair, eventually you're gonna run out of willing foes, and thus no more conflict/war! If you really want more conflict and battle, you should be advocating AGAINST annihilation. It's much better to cultivate your enemies for a while, and then trim them back; some hacked branches here, scorched limbs there, it makes for a far more interesting and longer-lasting conflict.

While Hora and I don't always see eye to eye (I am a dwarf ya know).. on this point we meet as equals. Annihilation should be the most extreme measure and used only in the rarest of issues. Yet sometimes it is the only measure left to effect a desired result.. again, as a last resort extreme measure.
