Game changer. This whole time I have been under the assumption that you get to choose 1 piece of gear for your troops, but this seems to indicate you get to choose up to 3. We will be giving our men, armor, weapons, AND mounts (if they are cavalry, I think). This means most players will have good incentive to maintain a supply/town for crafting and harvesting each of those.
This might only pertain to commanders, but the more I think about it the more I think it will pertain to all troops. Pushing the demand for crafted gear much higher, and therefor driving the market for harvested items much higher.
This will certainly add more meat to the land wars. Increasing demand, but keeping the supply steady (harvested resources).
