I am starting this thread as a place to hold philosophical discussions unrelated to DLords or their completely reasonable thread regarding city settlement.
Carry on.

The reverse opposite of a synonym... my head is about to explode. Before it does wouldn't the reverse opposite be the same word, the reverse opposite of hot wouldn't be cold, but hot?

All boils down to....
Might makes right -OR- democracy I think it is a common misconception that you can't have both. Don't like diplomacy? Make a public statement declaring what you want, and saying you will enforce it with your power... sure, it might encourage a rebellion of smaller systems to rise up against you in a coordinated attack that would decimate your regional hubs, but you get to say what you want. You could also make agreements with fellow neighbors and alliances to respect each other's land claims, without invoking 20k t2 horse lord armies. This would require mutual respect of other players, alliances, and their land claims. DLORDS is in their right to make whatever claims they want. It is up to them on how they encourage others to appreciate it. There is always a bigger fish.

I am opposed to a confederation of only dwarves. This is obviously unethical because the fight would be one-sided. While every other race is swinging their swords in mid air, the dwarves will decimate entire armies from below. How can other races stand up? (pun intended)

It sounds like what you are calling for is a little Affirmative Action...
