You can post more than one poem/song/haiku, as long as it is all in one reply. It will count as one entry.

Can we do it about a person in Illy ( Not ourselves )?
For example, you Luna, or Rill or Stormcrow...

Man will rise, man will fall, they are the keepers of animals all,
Elves will jump, Elves will fly, Elves will fight until they die,
Dwarves will run, then they'll wheeze, their beards are big- unhandy for a sneeze,
Orcs will fight, then run away, but they'll be there for another day.

Composed by GsoG

Another:

Luna means crazy,
Or not in this case,
Her hair is blond or black, but it seems to be wavy,
She is a wonder because of her face.
She rivals Helen of Troy,
She looks like a baby's toy.

Composed by GsoG

Rill is quick, Rill is speedy, she gives resources to the needy, She feels the need to help, those baby young whelps, those baby young whelps were once you and me, and her daily care packages are usually free!

Composed by GsoG

That's all! Thanks!

I will definitely be participating.  A shame that this is running concurrently with one of my alliance's writing contests. Geek
...and miles to go before I sleep.

Decided to give a haiku-styled poem a go. I hated English class.
Here's what I have so far:

A solemn crow caws.
Gathered, a crowd and their king.
Red is all they see.

Here lies history,
upon cobbles he lay bare.
This day, a king dies.

Knight, noble, and serf,
their bared fangs blur lineage.
'Blood for blood' their law.

Ordered chaos comes.
A kingdom without a king,
no head for mercy.

A black song is sung,
borne on the wings of a crow.
The marches begin.

Sweet soothing calmness,
a silence steeped in thunder.
War has come again.

I'll try to reference Illyriad more. -.-
Maybe I'll write more after I've had more coffee... or maybe not...

My haikus, for what they're worth Smile

Fair Illyriad

Thy lands and seas a haven

for myriad folk.

Orcs were first; hillfolk,

fighting and drinking the blood

of all other  tribes.

A host of humans

built cities and great castles.

Fighting where needed.

Dwarves, are the third race.

Great craftsmen in iron and stone

built beauty and strength.

Last the starchildren,

Arcane elves of wood and dale

in sad search of love.

This is our fair land.

Where quests for wisdom, honour

and glory abound.
