So you are safe putting the elite troops in larger armies? You could take an elemental with a heavy army and expect the elemental to survive any ordinary battle that you win. Only if you take a loss large enough to necessitate their death, will they die. This is how it is supposed to work right?

No, normally not... the Elite should die, imo.... well, the right number of Elite would die, to fit the real casualties.

Though, i suppose that if you put 1 Elemental in a medium/Large attacking army, and if you win, he shouldnt die... because the casualties would be under 100%, and that wouldnt kill a single Elimental (because that would equal an unfair rounding DOWN) or other units that benefited of the rouding, because he would be the only one to benefit of this... Maybe some of the large attacking group would die instead... but that would work only for attack as you can put only one single unit. In defence, having many groups of single Elementals wouldnt permit them to live, as their combined saved power would worth more than 5000-9000 (average def of 1 elemental), as the rounding up saved more than one... and as they have only 0 XP, they would be the first targetted by the second pass.

That's no more than a guess though, as Creature said, some tests are needed.

i guess this is because he was lonely and in the only group that really benefited of the rounding, and because total lacking power to retire after first pass was under his own defense power... If he died in these circoumstance, that would be equal to a rounding UP, thing Devs really wanted to avoid. I suppose the few missing def power to retire (average 21% of elemental's strenght + the small rounding naturally present in all of the other groups of units, here), was deduced by killing few other units in the larger groups... well, that last part really is a guess...

It can't have been fun, sending all those armies up against 631,350 units, with a total average defense of 17.23 million. Star (figures exclude commanders and any bonus modifiers)

I believe this occupation size was a server-wide record.
