for (5) it's more efficient to build all plots of the same type equally.  Your resources will grow faster.

And you'll have to wait longer overall for the resources to come i while your upgrading the sites on #5 TD. its best to do all lumber camps lvl 1, then all clay etc. then do lumber camps lvl 2 and go from there.
It's just a game. :)

 My advice is for those that are receiving supplies externally.  My advice will get the new player to researching Fletcher, etc. quicker.  You will note that I advise to go back and fill-in all the other resource plots after having 1 at level 7.
