Hi Larna,
in my opinion, playing this game is even more fun in an alliance.
And being in an alliance makes it more unlikely to be attacked or thiefed, as those players mostly aim for lone players.

Most big alliances do training alliances, especially to help new players.
There is Toothless?, CrowsWing, Victrix, and TrueTranquility.
There's also some independent training alliances like FDU.

Just read their infos, and ask the leader via mail for an invitation. You can switch the alliance every time you like (and you don't need to move your city, as big players have fast caravans).
(I myself recommend Victrix, as I know that alliance myself, but the others are fine, too )

oh yes, if you look through the forum, you see some players talk like orcs, pirates, or like Ubiquiterious Feral . So you can do so, if you like, but don't need to .
