Forum Upgrade completed

Hi all,
The forum will be going down for around 15 minutes at some point between 0800 and 1000 UTC (Server Time) on Friday the 2nd of December for an upgrade.

This will bring in some nice new features such as rating posts and users (thanking them etc) as well as additional support for mobile phones and tablets.  It'll also be generally more stable, faster and more intuitive to navigate.

I'm afraid we can't be more specific about the exact downtime start as the upgrade is being carried out by a third party.

EDIT:  The forum upgrade has been completed; there're a few tweaks we need to make for the look-and-feel, and a bunch of new admin options we need to wrap our heads around in the next couple of days.

	As long as the game and the forum don't both go down at the same time ... I don't know how I'd cope. Forum upgrades sound cool -- thanks GM SC!

	I was half hoping you guys were dropping these forums and getting better ones...but I suppose an upgrade will have to do.

	Some of you may have already noticed, but some of the new features are: Topic Rating You can give a 1-5 star rating for each thread. You'll see the (giant) stars at the top of each thread. Points This used to just be a post count for how many posts you'd made in the forums. Now it is a point system that tallies up topics you've created, replied to and been thanked for. More points equals a higher title rank under your name. For example, Postmaster, Postmaster General, etc. Thanking You'll see in the bar across each post or reply a little smiley face. You can click that to thank the person for their contribution. It's sort of like quoting and adding "+1" but a whole lot less spammy. Social Media Sharing At the bottom of each thread is a series of links you can use to share the thread on Facebook, G+, Twitter, etc. Enjoy! Luna
