Alliance name: The D'Haran Empire
Recruitment contact: Killrobin, Gratch, Ezri, Klandor, The Lioness What are some of the benefits of joining your alliance: Protection, resources, general help. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? The idea behind DE is to enjoy the game in good company. Our ranks are done by a "choose your own" system and each member is treated equally. So sit back, talk a while, and enjoy! What type of player are you looking for as members? Anyone in reality, but so long as they can respect other members and other players too. Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? PLayers can freely leave, we only ask for a message saying that the player wished to leave. But I guess that's common courtesy. As for what would make a leader remove them, extended inactivity or being offensive/ going against alliance goals. What rules govern the alliance? For example diplomats and troops; Who can they be used against in a hostile manner? The basic "Do not attack active players" rule stands in DE.Inactive targets are fine to target. We are peaceful and wish to keep it as such. If you are attacked, it is not right to then retaliate immediately, but I would like that it is made aware by the alliance and we try to resolve the matter together. If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? The tax is at 2% and the money gained from this is for the alliance as a whole to use. If someone bought resources from the market, they can ask for the gold they used to come from the alliance. The tax money has been used several times to buy up bulks of basic res to ship out to new members. |

Alliance Name: Dwarven in-Law Pametheah or one of our leadership Yes We are an open Alliance, so regardless of your race we are happy to have you. We do though recommend new members move to one of our Alliance hubs in either Turalia or Wolgast for support. We are looking for long term members to become part of our extended community, which includes training, caste specialization, protection from aggressors, resources when needed and a place to get to know people and connect with other players. We are a new guild birthed from our sister alliance the Dwarven Lords. We seek to live in peace with those around us, but will stand to the bitter end to defend our allies and friends when necessary. We have 3 main castes in our Alliance (warrior, priest and trade) and seek to build up members to be productive in their chosen caste so that they can build up the alliance. We are looking for players who want to be here for the long haul, players who are mature and wanting to be part of a community. We seek to help one another out in whatever ways we can and expect those who join us to do the same. Members are free to leave as they see fit. We will expel members for un-approved hostile actions towards other players, disrespect towards alliance leadership or members, continued absence or representing the alliance in ways not in line with the stance of our leadership or founding principles. No taxation at this time. If this changes the tax will be used to hep build stockpiles of goods for times of war or need by the alliance. Edited by GM Luna - 29 Feb 2012 at 17:00 |

Alliance Name:
RES IPSA LOQUITOR Recruitment Contact: The_Dude - via in-game mail Are you currently accepting new members? Yes. Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? Most, preferably all, cities located in Middle Kingdom and/or Tor Carrock. All races and populations accepted. Established and New players are welcome. What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? No offense, but this is sorta a silly question to my way of thinking. Yes, RES provides all the same benefits as any alliance does. Healthcare, Retirement Plans, 2 weeks vacation after 1 yr, casual Fridays. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? My goal is to establish a strong alliance concentrated in Middle Kingdom and Tor Carrock. I anticipate RES will be a strategically important alliance when factions and trade v2 go live. Additionally, I am piecing together a coalition of alliances concentrated in other regions for the purpose of establishing the Illy version of a commonwealth or Eurozone sort of thing. Again, this is to deal with factions and tradve v2. I described RES as a generally non-aggressive alliance. However, RES will support its allies when called on to do so. Additionally, RES will protect newbs and squish trolls. What type of player are you looking for as members? First, players interested in the things I have described above. Secondly, at least a moderate level of activity... RES is not a place to stick an account that will only be looked at once a week. Thirdly, I insist that all members behave on GC and the forum and endeavor to respect others. Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? Players are free to exit RES at will with no adverse consequences for merely exiting. Players will be kicked for inactivity, rudeness, or trouble-making. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? All attacks of any nature on Active players MUST be pre-approved by me. If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? Yes, a 2% tax rate is assessed. The alliance treasury is used for alliance goals.

Alliance Name:
The Phoenix [FENIX] Recruitment Contact: Tallica or Garuda (in game mail only please) Are you currently accepting new members? Yes Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? We accept any members who have a population of 400 or greater and who can relocate to Qarosslan. We accept all races. What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? We have similar benefits to all other alliances...I know this doesn't sound special, but our plans/goals are a bit different from the other alliances... What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? We stand for peace and prosperity. Our current goals are mutual growth and protection as we further develop our alliance. What type of player are you looking for as members? We want only fairly active members, if you are able to log in daily (if only to queue up some buildings) then we want you. We are also seeking members able to fulfill leadership roles and military training. Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? Of course any member can freely leave, we will hold no hard feelings against any players who choose to leave FENIX. However, anything gained from us we ask to keep to yourself. FENIX will choose to remove players from our alliance if they are inactive (7 days unexcused) or if they are found "bullying" or have poor forum and chatroom etiquette. We are a proud and mature alliance and wish to be reflected as such. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? We do not allow hostile actions against active players, only defensive actions. However we do target inactive accounts that have been properly watched. Any member found to be hostile (aka "bullying") will be promptly removed from FENIX. If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? FENIX has no alliance tax at this time or in the foreseeable future. Edited by GM Luna - 29 Feb 2012 at 17:01 |

Alliance Name:
Conclave [Clave] Recruitment Contact: Boukris (via in game mail) Are you currently accepting new members? Yes Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? We are keen to take in intelligent, thoughtful players of any size and in any location. We welcome small players (under 100 population) as we understand that the early stages of growth in Illyriad can be slow and we are happy to supply resources to new players. What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? Specific benefits are:
And the chance to explore peaceful (trade and diplomatic) growth with like-minded people. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? We focus on diplomatic units and trade. We have no interest in war. In a world where most alliances seek military glory, we choose a less well traveled path. We value subtle thought, profit, and information. What type of player are you looking for as members? We seek players who are
Can players freely leave the alliance if they
wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders
to remove a player from the alliance? Of course players can leave Conclave whenever they wish. In fact, if a member announced 'I have learned a lot here about using diplomats with Conclave, and now Big Alliance X has invited me to join them as Spymaster/Trademaster' we'd be honoured. This is a place for people to develop peaceful, diplomatic abilities and insights. If they later want to take those insights elsewhere that is for the good of the game. Inactive players will be removed. People who ignore the alliance's rules or bring Conclave into disrepute will be removed. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? The rules are on the Alliance page, and detail common sense precautions like not thieving from active players. We are here to enjoy the subtle, peaceful side of the game. Rules obviously apply against provoking less peaceful players. The rules are there to ensure that one player's actions do not bring the wrath of outsiders upon other alliance members. If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? Conclave has a 0% tax rate. The only case in which this would change is if we needed to raise funds to defend ourselves from external threats. As we have no intention of provoking external threats, we expect the tax rate to remain at 0%. Edited by GM Luna - 29 Feb 2012 at 17:01 |

Alliance Name:
Lords of Frost [Frost] (link) Kurdruk (link) Are you
currently accepting new members? The Lords of Frost are focused on the area around 0/800 (look for the large lake in the north of Wolgast). Members should have their main cities (most or all of their cities) in this area. The alliance would suit those who are committed to staying in the game, but who are not yet so established that moving towards 0/800 will be a problem. We are happy to take very small players, whom we can send resources in order to help them grow swiftly. What are some benefits of joining your
alliance (protection, training, etc)? We organize regular mini-tournaments/challenges/wargames, so there is never a dull week. (link) There is no formal training as such, though we encourage players to become familiar with the game, via sources such as the Illyriad Forum and the Wisdom of Kurdruk blog, so while we're happy to provide considerable support to new members we are not explicitly a "training alliance".What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? Illyriad is a wonderful sandbox, where people can grow, trade, and explore. There are lots of styles of play, and no one style (e.g. the wargame-style) has the right to impose itself over other styles. But there is a very strong military element, and those who wish to grow, trade and prosper should know how to defend themselves. That's what the Lords of Frost are about: very close, local cooperation in our frozen homelands. What type of player are you looking for as members?Players who enjoy cooperation, who are interested in the military aspects of the game, who will be active and regular players, and who will treat other inhabitants of the world with respect. Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? Since the alliance is based on local cooperation, a player who wanted to leave would be expected, eventually, to Exodus out of the area. That is especially true of those located at the centre of our area. But we aren't going to be aggressive about this, and do not expect to harass those who wish to leave. The central value of respect for other players and their playing styles means that we are not going to start getting aggressive with people. Edited by GM Luna - 29 Feb 2012 at 17:02 |

Alliance Name: The Nightbringers
Recruitment Contact: Contact any member of the Council of Night Are you currently accepting new members? Yes Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? We accept all races and interests What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? We have a lively, vibrant group of players on our Alliance chat and there is usually someone there who can answer your questions. Although we are a peaceful alliance, the opportunity to learn attack and defense strategies will be available. There is also a strong trade leader to help our traders learn. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? We prefer peace, but we are willing to fight for it when needed. To learn more about the alliance please visit our public forum at http://uk1.illyriad.co.uk/#/Alliance/Forums/407 What type of player are you looking for as members? We are seeking mature players and prefer players who are committed to daily log-ins regardless of size. We welcome experienced players and those interested in leadership positions. Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? Illyriad is a game. Players who wish to leave the alliance are free to do so, though the courtesy of a message is appreciated. Once a player leaves the alliance we would appreciate it if they would exodus near their new alliance, however we will not enforce this request with military action. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? For information on our alliance guidelines please visit out public forum at http://uk1.illyriad.co.uk/#/Alliance/Forums/407 if you have questions that are not answered in the forums, please contact any member of the Council. If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? Currently there is not an alliance tax. Edited by Myrin - 31 Aug 2012 at 09:01 |

We founded this alliance to have a structure that allowes all players to participate in the decisions of the alliance. We need players that like communicating, playing in a team and that (eventually) like to be elected in leading positions. Alliance Name: The Old Republic. Recruitment Contact: Any member of the Executive Council (Consuls, Praetors) or any Senator. (see alliance profile)
Are you currently accepting new members? Yes! Large members, small members, all are welcome!!! You may decide to apply for full membership to become a Senator. However you have some time to observe the rules of the republic and decide later if you really want to join. Large and active members have good perspectives to be elected in leading positions or the Senate (however, there will be an election!). Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? Everyone with more then 2K pop. If you are smaller join our training alliance: http://forum.illyriad.co.uk/join-tor-university-training-alliance_topic3571.html What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? You surely will be protected, get resources (if you are small) and training! You can learn a lot about Illy in our alliance since you are informed on and can participate in all important decisions. We are a democratically organised alliance. All members are sovereign, have the same rights and can participate in important decisions (via polls on our external forum). TOR is a collectively ruled alliance and we wait for your incentives. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? The principles of the Elgean Republic and all actions based on our constitution shall be mutual defence, democracy, solidarity and the sovereignty of its Members. What type of player are you looking for as members? All members that like to participate in or Republic! Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? You can only be removed, if 2/3 of all members vote on a proposal to kick you out. Everyone can leave whenever she/he desires. If you have settled in our main hub area you have to remove your cities. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? Our members are free and sovereign! You may do whatever you desire, but must accept the consequences of your action, since we are a defensive alliance. Precise rules are at the alliance profile. If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? The alliance tax can only be changed by the Senate. The Senate also decides what happens with that money! Alliance Name: Eagles Eyrie
Recruitment Contact: Hathaldir, RBL007, Turgor & Firess Are you currently accepting new members? Oh H*ll Yes Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? There are currently no restrictions on the type of player we are looking to join us in the Eyrie. What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? The Eagles can offer the benefits of being led by one of Illy's highest respected players, a huge pool of resources, a range of players with varied experiences within the Illy world to advise and train newer players, as well as an AC that never stops scrolling. What does the alliance stand for? What are its goals and governing principles? The governing principles of the Eyrie are to have fun, to be respectful to all players and to pay it forward.
What type of player are you looking for as members? Mature, chatty, willing to learn, respectful Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? We believe that once they are in, no-one will want to leave. However, if members do decide that the Eyrie is not for them, we will never hold anyone back from experiencing Illyriad on their own. Membership will be withdrawn by the leaders if a member abuses any player in Illy, either via AC/GC or PM. If a member acts in a way that is in opposition to our internal guidelines, or if he has broken the Illy rules of multi accounting. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? As a fledgling alliance, our rules are still a work in progress. We are ultimately a peace-keeping alliance and we have a few guidelines that we expect our members to follow, including as mentioned, respect and a commitment to Integrity.. we also demand a song in the AC as way of an initiation rite! If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? Currently, the eagles do not tax it's members.. although sometimes Turgor's jokes can be a little taxing! So, if any of the above tickles your fancy.. come look up the Eagles!!
