reopen from the one that Myr posted as many of the post are out of date. http://forum.illyriad.co.uk/alliance-leaders-give-us-current-details_topic5519.html From Mara Zira: To help players decide on which alliances best fit their game goals, and since the Find Alliance summaries sometimes don't contain the information newbies are most concerned with, all LEADERS of alliances are welcome and encouraged to post the answers to the following questions in this thread. You do not have to completely answer all of the questions, but the more you answer, the better. Also, please be sure to edit your post to keep the information up-to-date or delete your post if the alliance becomes inactive.

Alliance Name: Lost Again (LOST)
Recruitment Contact: Lost A or Lost Alt. Are you currently accepting new members? Depends. Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? Must have 2x 50K to 65K gold producing cities and be willing to ship me gold to fund Knight storage What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? Be a part of history as Lost A builds 1 MILLION Knights. Can I actually do this? Yes. I built 1/2M without even trying. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? We're just here to have fun and destroy things. What type of player are you looking for as members? I need harvesters, crafters and traders to help produce gold. Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? Players can come and go as they please. It would be best if a whole lot of players joined at once otherwise it will be boring. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? With 1 Million Knights in the bag, players could probably do anything they wanted. Although the more risk a player creates, the more compensation I would need to keep and produce more Knights to defend their antics. Ideally your cities would be near or relocated outside my land claim in Broken Lands. If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? KNIGHTS. 1 Million of them. he he. Do I expect anyone to join? No, not really. I'll still try for 1M Knights all by myself though.

Alliance Name: Holy Storm Company
Recruitment Contact: Morgweneth, Snooker Are you currently accepting new members? Yes. Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? Storm is not a training alliance but we do accept new players who intend to stay with Storm. We ask our members to be civil and mature players, relocate to one of our hubs and be active in alliance functions including chat. What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? We train new members and help all members grow and reach their own goals in the game. Storm has crafters, traders, warriors, etc. to help and support each other. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? Storm is based on the co-operation of players for the mutual benefit of all members. As a military alliance we participate in tournaments. A particular quirk of the Holy Storm Company is its dislike of bullies. Players who are bullied and are not in an alliance can contact Storm for help. What type of player are you looking for as members? Storm does not limit it's members to only traders or crafters or some such. Anyone looking to participate is welcome. Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? Players are free to leave without further consequence. Any repeated behaviour against Storm policy (for example: unapproved and unprovoked attacks on other players) will get a member removed. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? Players are free to engage in actions against inactive players. PvP against active players is only allowed with permission from Storm council. Storm does allow members and other players to engage in 1-vs-1 PvP as a means to settle disputes, challanges, etc. If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? Taxes are used for crafted gear and supplies for war/tournaments, buying terraforms for important locations, etc. Edited by Benedetti - 21 Oct 2016 at 20:37 |

Alliance Name: Heroes of the Horn (HotH)
What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? Nekkid elves running through AC throwing glitter to the lurkers 1. You will receive several guides via IGM once you join. These guides get you started learning game mechanics and help in choosing a "path" of game play such as "military", "trade", "crafting", "harvesting" or "diplomacy". You are free to choose more than one path. For example, crafting usually goes hand in hand with "trade" and "military". "Harvesting" often goes with "crafting", and is often in high demand. 2. We don't push players into a specific path, but rather let players learn about each path through game play, chat, and guides so they are prepared to chose their preferred style of game play. 3. We have an alliance curriculum that teaches the basics and makes a player economically stable. 4. We provide resources to help the player grow. 5. We run tournaments within the alliance. These tournaments are designed to teach various aspects of game play and create an environment of co-operation and friendly competition. Oh, and they are fun! 6. Players move up in rank as they progress through the curriculum. Upon completion of the curriculum a player is "graduated" and receives an alliance medal and accolades in alliance chat. After graduation we can help you move on to another alliance. This is usual because we are a training alliance. We don't expect lifetime commitments. 7. We have either alliance "chat parties" which are 2 day events of riddles, trivia, hunting, and other activities. These sometimes use and outside chat rooms to include different training alliances. 8. We offer protection through diplomacy. This protection is enforced in coordination with sister alliance Wheel of Time (WoT) What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? We want you to learn to grow the basics so that you can springboard into the thick of things with some confidence! We aim to help you in any way possible without turning you into a cookie cutter player.
Any type of member is accepted. We prefer to have active players that participate in the activities we plan and host. Players are free to leave the alliance whenever they choose without consequences. Breaking the rules of HotH leads generally to warnings but may result in being kicked if the offense is severe.
We have a 2% tax on our players. We use this tax to provide prizes for tournaments and games, and to buy prestige for the alliance which is in turn used for helping new players or as prizes of for minting and awarding medals. Active players can ask for their taxes returned through an IGM to Jadefae. Edited by Jadefae - 19 Oct 2016 at 03:40 |

Alliance Name: Asatru (Loki)
Gragnog, Saffron, and if you really must and feel the urge Stukahh
Yes Anyone who is willing to accept the consequences of their own actions. You get to play the way you want to with no-one telling you what to do. Loki stands for independent play, fun, mischief, and basically anything game related. Each member is his own boss. The only time the alliance will be expected to bind together is if someone declares war against Loki. Loki will never declare war against anyone.
Any active players willing to accept their fate. Come and go as you please. We are Loki. Each member can do anything he/she wants to do game related as long as he/she is willing to accept the consequences. Only if you want to be taxed. |

Alliance Name: Order of the Orc [HORDE] https://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/Alliance
Recruitment Contact: Grrosh O'ssk or Djehuti the Silent Are you currently accepting new members? Yes Who can join (any restrictions to race, location, population level, etc.)? HORDE is orc only but we do make some exceptions for non orc slaves . However, we generally prefer to stay true to our orc theme. What are some benefits of joining your alliance (protection, training, etc)? HORDE is very active and has awesome members. We offer help, training, and support to all members, regardless of size. We prefer a military style of play and help those interested to learn that style. What does the alliance stand for? What are it's goals and governing principles? HORDE strives to advance the orc player as well as orc character development. Our rich history and background set the stage for the orc style of play that HORDE enjoys. We seek to expand our clans throughout the southern Broken Lands and claim it for the orc. What type of player are you looking for as members? All that we ask is that you support the alliance and remain active. Can players freely leave the alliance if they wish? If not, what are the consequences of leaving? What would cause the leaders to remove a player from the alliance? Yes, players can leave the alliance and our Council determines if a player should be removed. What rules govern the alliance? For example, diplomats and troops: who can they be used against in a hostile manner (no one, only NPCs or certain factions, only those at war with, only inactives, only with permission, anyone not in the alliance or in NAP with your alliance, etc)? HORDE respects the '10' square rule when settling, the '5' square rule for harvesting your own kills or general collecting. The Orken Coast, southern Shardlands, Orken Isle and areas of Strendur and the Long White is our area of settlement. We have no 'official' claim but saturate these areas with our towns and cities. We will defend our lands and do not tolerate thieves or poachers. Communication and Pacts usually prevent most accidents and issues. If the alliance has a tax on its members, what is the money used for? HORDE does not tax its members. A number of our members do donate Prestige for their alliance mates. Archaeans League
https://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/Alliance If you think you would be a good match for ACHE, send a note to the Oracle! Let us know a bit about you, like how long you have been playing Illy, your goal of being a military, magic, crafting or trade expert (if you are interested in specializing), what other games you play, your age and what you do (school, work, etc.), maybe a few favorite hobbies, or just whatever seems important to you. We aren’t looking for a lot – just a couple of sentences would be fine. ACHE is a Peaceful Training Alliance We do not aggress on any outside players, either militarily or diplomatically, and we expect the same of others. We do realize that misunderstandings can occur with new players. We will always seek a diplomatic solution first and foremost. Another thing we want you to be clear on is that while we will help you train commanders and build military and diplomatic forces, ACHE members are strictly prohibited from attacking any other active players. There are places for warriors in Illy, but we are a peaceful training environment only. What makes ACHE special? If you are looking for some GREAT grounding in Illy life, to gain some good experience, a safe home for the early part of your Illy career, and a helluva lot of resources delivered to you to help you build up fast, look at ACHE. Some sense of humor is usually helpful; it doesn't have to be that good though! Like most training alliances, we are friendly, supportive and very generous with resources. Unlike other training alliances that may have rigorous training programs and assigned masters/tutors, ACHE trains our members through one-on-one contact in alliance chat. We find that live interaction is the best way to develop and meet individual goals. We have experts located in many countries around the world so someone is likely to be online and available most of the time. There is always room in ACHE for an active, interested new player. We try to tempt applicants who want to be spoiled with a lot of individual attention. Secondary to chat, but also important, is our use of the mail system. Immediately after joining, new members get a long packet of information to get started with. Later, for those members who are not brave enough to show up in chat, one of our leaders will write to them and make sure they are not left out. While some help is offered through the mail, all new members are encouraged to join us in chat for best learning opportunities. Because we share lots of resources, we concentrate on getting a player’s storage capacity up as soon as possible. We have a unique method of bringing a player’s warehouse up to level 20 quickly so that they can start Exodus research and be ready that much sooner to move to a final location. Still, we encourage players not to move while they are with ACHE but rather to save their moves until they find a permanent alliance. We also want them to stay until they have learned much and are ready to move seamlessly into a new alliance. Please note that since ACHE is a training alliance, in the natural course of things new players will move on to permanent alliances when they get big enough and are trained well enough. We have senior players with close knowledge of many other alliances, so that when a trainee is ready to graduate, we can assist with finding the best choice of a permanent alliance. Sometimes after a move, they find they were not ready, and they may be allowed to return for a short while. But players who abandon their accounts without notice, as new players sometimes do, will not be allowed to return from another account. |
